Retired Orleans Parish Juvenile Court Judge Clarence B. Giarrusso, 86, died Friday, November 2, 2007. Giarrusso served as a juvenile court judge from 1979-81 after working in different capacities on the New Orleans Police Department from 1949-78 including serving as head of the narcotics division and later as superintendent from 1970-78. A World War II veteran, he enlisted in the Marines as a teenager. After returning from service, he earned his high school diploma and later enrolled at Tulane University, earning a degree in Public Business Administration. He also earned a degree in Criminology and a Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University.
