16th JDC Judge Carl J. Williams died Saturday, January 19, 2002 in Breaux Bridge, La. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette in 1982 and his Juris Doctor degree from Southern University Law Center in 1987. Prior to his election to the bench in 1993, he was in the private practice of law and also previously he served as a law clerk to 16th JDC Judge Paul deMahy.
