NOTICE:
The Supreme Court signed an order on Dec. 12,
2001 establishing a standing committee of the Supreme Court
to be known as the Court Rules Committee. The Committee is
charged with receiving comments and/or proposed additional
rules or amendments and with making recommendations for proposed
additional rules or amendments.
Louisiana
judges and licensed members of the Louisiana bar may forward
their comments, proposed amendments to existing rules and
recommendations for additional rules to the Court Rules Committee
of the Supreme Court in care of Hugh M. Collins, Judicial
Administrator of the Supreme Court, c/o Timothy J. Palmatier,
Esq., Chief Deputy Judicial Administrator, 400 Royal Street,
Ste. 1190, New Orleans, LA 70130-8101 or webmaster@lasc.org
. Please be advised that any comments which are
forwarded constitute matters of public record and are subject
to public inspection. Final approval of any changes
will rest with the Supreme Court.
Listed below
are the Rules for Louisiana District Courts, Titles I, II
and III; the Numbering Systems for Louisiana Family and
Domestic Relations Courts, Title IV; and Rules for Juvenile Proceedings in District Courts and in Juvenile Courts, Title V.
By Order dated November 3, 2008, the Louisiana Supreme Court adopted amendments and additions to the Rules for Louisiana District Courts to be effective January 1, 2009.
By Order dated April 29, 2008, the Louisiana Supreme Court adopted amendments to the Rules for Louisiana District Courts, Rules for Juvenile Proceedings in District Courts and in Juvenile Courts to be effective July 1, 2008. These Rules replace the numbering system for juvenile proceedings previously in place.
By Order
dated November 3, 2004, the Supreme Court of Louisiana
approved amendments to Titles I, II and III of the Louisiana
Rules for District Courts to be effective January 1, 2005.
